 24 November 1912 → A record low water stage was set on the Kentucky River at High Bridge Lock with a reading of 4.7 feet.
 24 November 1950 → The coldest November high temperature on record at Louisville (14) and Bowling Green (17).
  This Day in National/World Weather History ...
 24 November 1863 → The Battle Above the Clouds at Lookout Mountain was fought near Chattanooga. A fog descending into the valley could be seen from atop the mountain and obscured parts of the battlefield. Union forces, which outnumbered Southern troops, fought to a victory.
 24 November 2001 → Thirty-six tornadoes touched down in Alabama, setting a record for the number of tornadoes in a single day for the Crimson State.
