Loop of 0.5 degree (low-level) reflectivity data (every 10 minutes) from the KLVX WSR-88D Doppler radar during the evening of October 24, 2001. The squall line raced east across central Kentucky and south-central Indiana at speeds up to 60 mph resulting in widespread wind damage along the leading edge of the storms.  Embedded bowing line segments within the leading line accentuated damage. Behind the line, trailing lighter rain was present.
