This is a close-up picture of the 2 graphical monitors
that constitute an AWIPS workstation. A large amount of data can be
displayed on each monitor. Note that each monitor shows a large display
window as well as 4 small windows for data storage. Data easily can be
swapped out between the large and small window panes for analysis purposes.
An alternate 3 window display per monitor also is available. In addition,
the forecaster is free to display data in many combinations and
colors. This interactivity enhances the data analysis, forecast, and
warning process. |
